As you tour Wonderland Cave, you will see more variety and display of crystal formations than in any other cavern in the Midwest. Hidden for 300 million years, the cave was opened to the public in 1929. Since then, millions of visitors have explored and learned about its geologic wonder, and thrilled to it's exquisite beauty. You will see 16 different types of formations plus millions of crystals covering the walls where stalactites and columns are still growing.

Tours leave approximately every 20 minutes. Courteous guides, schooled in cave geology will guide you at a leisurely pace, share with you the interesting history of the cave, and explain the many different formations along the way. The temperature is always a pleasant 47 degrees, so a light wrap is recommended. You will also want to wear comfortable walking shoes.
